Complete Guide to Compressing and Merging PDFs
Guides· 6 min readहिंदी में पढ़ें
Forms often ask for your marksheet, ID and certificates in a single PDF under a size limit. DigiYogi PDF Tools run in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
1. Merge several PDFs into one
- Open PDF Tools and choose Merge PDF.
- Select all your PDF files together.
- Arrange them in the order you need.
- Press Merge and download the new PDF.
2. Turn photos into a PDF
If you photographed documents, use Images to PDF to turn JPG/PNG files into one PDF. Shoot them straight, in good light, without cutting the edges.
3. Remove extra pages and reorder
Use Delete pages for blank or unwanted pages, Reorder to fix the sequence and Rotate for upside-down pages. Fewer pages = a smaller file.
4. Reduce PDF size (Compress)
Note: this is light compression. If the PDF is full of large scanned photos, it works better to shrink the photos first with Image Compressor, then rebuild the PDF with Images to PDF.
- Choose Compress and add your PDF.
- The tool re-saves the file and strips unneeded data.
- Download it and check the new size.
5. Checklist before uploading to a form
- File size is within the limit (e.g. 200 KB / 1 MB)
- Every page is readable, not blurry
- Correct order: ID first, then marksheets (or as the form asks)
- Clear file name, like Name_Documents.pdf
- Unlock password-protected PDFs first
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF sent to a server?
Merge, split, rotate, compress and image-PDF tools run in your browser. Only PDF↔Word conversion happens on a server, and needs sign-in.
Why didn't my PDF get much smaller?
Light compression has little effect on PDFs full of heavy scans. Shrink the photos first and rebuild the PDF.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, in modern mobile browsers. A computer is better for very large files.
